I, Elizabeth Van Deventer, of the township of Piscataway, in the County of Middlesex, and State of New Jersey, widow of Jeremiah Vandeventer, decd. certify that a female negro child called Sarah Ann, was born of my slave Hannah, at the township aforesaid, on the seventeenth day of May last. Witness my hand this twenty eighth day of March, in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and nine-
