Veronique Marie Henriksen who died Dec. 17, 1998 at Woodlands Genesis Eldercare in Plainfield was a graduate of the New Jersey College for Women, now Douglass College. She won a fellowship to the New York School of Social Work, Columbia University. She was a member of the American Association of Psychiatric Social Workers and served on the board of the Ortho-Psychiatric Institute in Priceton. Ms. Henriksen studied Spanish dancing with Mme. Helena Viola and Hawaiian dancing with Vivian Huapala. At the opening ceremonies of the United Nations in New York City, she led the Hawaiian troupe. Her sister, Charmaine Henriksen Blakeslee, preceded her in death.
