Silas Parmore Defense Fund

The time has come when every man and woman identified with the Negro race should respond in the fullest measure toward the defense fund of Silas Parmore. All of us are being persecuted on this occasion. Fortunately for us, Parmore must be pointed out as the immediate victim. Our constitutional rights as citizens are at stake. This is a case of the survival of the fittest. It means that to fight this case it will take money, and much money. Will you not pledge to your utmost what you can afford? The amount you pledge need not be paid in a lump sum. You can pay to suit your convenience weekly.

I hereby pledge to pay . . . . . . . . Dollars at the rate of . . . . . . . .
Dollars per week on Monday until paid in full.
