Rutgers Honors James Neilson

Special to The New York Times.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N. J., Nov. 21.—Many trustees, alumni, faculty members and undergraduates of Rutgers University attended a memorial service in honor of James Neilson this afternoon in Voorhees Chapel, New Jersey College for Women. Mr. Neilson, who was a trustee of the university, was called the "godfather" of the women's college, having donated much of the land on which it stands. He died last February.
