Know all men by these Presents that I Corns
Vermule of the city of New Brunswick for and in consideration
of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to
me in hand paid by John Neilson of the said city
of New Brunswick, have granted bargained & sold
unto him the said John Neilson his Execs Adms and Assigns
the unexpired time of a negro man called Prince about twenty
three years of age to have & to hold the said negro man for the
full term of four years three months & six days
from and after the date of this instrument, that is to say
untill the first day of Septr 1819, and the said Cornels
Vermule doth covenant with the said John Neilson that he
the said Corns Vermule his Execs Adms the said negro man
Prince unto the said John Neilson his Execs Adms & Assigns against
the lawful claim of all persons under him shall & will warrant
& defend for and during the said term of four years and
three months & six days
In witness whereof the said Corns Vermule
hath hereunto set his hand & seal the 25th day of May 1815.
